what is orofacial myology?
Orofacial Myology is a speciality dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of the muscles of the face and mouth, in particular the tongue, lips, cheeks and jaw.
The orofacial complex is responsible for many important tasks, including speech, chewing and swallowing. It is also connected to facial and skeletal development, the formation of the dental occlusion, how we breathe, how we sleep, and our overall emotional and physical health.
